Frogging...

I've decided. I'm going to frog. I've had Hannah's cardigan on the needles for quite a while, but now definitely know I'm never going to finish it. Wrong yarn for wrong project. Ach well... I'm now on the look-out for a nice new project. And because the weather is very inspirational in that respect, it might be something like this . A nice airy top for hot summer days. Even though it's only April, we've been promised quite a summer... And maybe I'll crochet her one of these . Choices, choices... And I've also decided to make a baby blanket for my friend D. She's due in October, so I should have enough time to find a pattern, find the right wool and finish it... :-) Any suggestions welcome! I've looked at the one she just finished, but something like this , or this is also nice. And if I feel really generous, I'll just fill her whole 10 Day Box with homemade goodies, like baby socks, a wee hat, a babygro with embroidered name, you na

Truly scrumptious!!!

I received my Buzzer package today... Yes, I am one of them. One of those annoying people who test out products and then try to convince friends and family to buy/try them too! I've been to the theatre to see an amazing drama production and now it's time for some internal bliss: CANDY! I got a whole box full of fruit sweeties. Yummy yummy! They're called 'Truly', contain less sugar and real fruit juice. And they're very nice. Had I said that already? More info on the site: www.redband.nl/truly . It's not online as of yet, but will be later in the week... Yummy Yummmmmmmmmyyyyy

New book

Because I usually knit for my two little rascals, I just had to buy this book when I saw it in the shop... It's called 'Breien voor kleine boefjes', and has a few lovely patterns and cool ideas for clothes, hats, scarves, bags and toys... Watch this space... You can buy Lucinda Guy's book here .

Frustration...

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Just had to get it out of my system... I've been editing a translation book on painting for the last two, no actually three, days now, and it's doing my nut in. It was supposed to be a one-day job, but as I have to make so many corrections, I've been glued to my seat and red pen for days... I'm neglecting all my favorite things, like knitting in front of the telly, and can't do what I was supposed to do: lengthen baby S's sleeping bags and adding straps (he's a roll-over these days...), knit big S's second sock, finish off wee H's cardigan and then START SOMETHING NICE FOR ME. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Good thing is, I got loads and loads of money for my birthday (which was on Saturday, but for some reason, Blogger still called it Friday...), so we're off to IKEA tomorrow to buy a suitable solution for our hallway, which is too cluttered an

33!

It's my birthday tomorrow... Let's hope we'll get another year full of socks, knitting and handycrafting!

Somewhere over the rainbow

Piece of cake... Superprowd wee H nearly flew to school in these... They're a little saggy after a day of wearing and smelly feet, but my hands are already itching to make another pair. There should be enough to make baby S some too...

Shop til I...

get very hungry and thirsty and go almost mad with the selection of lovely woollies, crafty stuff and fabrics... O my, never go to Sneek again! The craft store there is just a treasure trove where you can lose yourself for hours... Anyway, got some sock yarn for me and the wee ones. Wee H's first rainbow sock was finished within a few hours (no pattern, I'm good...) and fitted perfectly. Now it's just a question of replicating it... Note to self: write down how many rows, repeats, etc...

And another blog is born...

O my, did I get blog fever or what... The list I have to check every day is already endless, and then I decide to create one more myself... As I am now fully immersed again in the world of homecraft, and all these endeavors don't really fit our other blogs, ach well... why not! Below some piccies, of the first finished PAIR of socks for big S, and of two diaper covers and diaper for baby S (actually wearing the last one :-) ). I still have some unfinished objects as well, such as this lovely cardigan for wee H, and the second sock (it has been cast on) for another pair for big S (Gentleman's socks from here ). I also have a wish list, but as it is extremely long, and contains several pairs of socks for myself (for once...), I will take the time over Easter to actually compile a concise list, a Top-Ten say... Enjoy! I do try to update regularly, but because of work, kids, other blogs :-), this may not always be feasible... The first finished pair of socks for big S. I like big
