I really feel like taking my spinning wheel to SnB tomorrow night... Who else? It would be cool if there were several of us spinning outside of the café! Votes can be cast until tomorrow night 6PM... :D Ik heb erg veel zin om morgenavond te gaan spinnen op de SnB... Wie nog meer? Zou wel leuk zijn als we met meerdere dames op het terras zitten te spinnen! Stemmen kan tot morgenavond 6 uur... :D

I could have written a blog about how I hate the people who live behind us, who seem to not realize that telling people that there's going to be a party does not mean you can carry on until 5 in the morning, and who want YOU to apologize for having rung the police the last time they did the same (long story - and we did ring again, HA). But I'm not. That frustration runs deep, and I'm intent on smothering my feelings of hate with yarn. Lots of yarn. Being absolutely exhausted after a day of antics in the zoo/playground/pool meant little knitting was being done. But looking at my blanket, a lot was done. Even hubby is now extremely impressed by it. I've not counted the number of squares, but it weighs in at around 750 grams now, it is way wide enough to fit the sofa and falls over the seats. A few squares here and there seem to go very quickly. Omdat we totaal afgepeigerd waren na een dag vol geren en gevlieg in dierentuin/speeltuin/zwembad, werd er niet veel gebreid. Maar als ik naar mijn deken kijk, is er toch veel gebeurd. Zelfs echtgenoot is onder de indruk. Ik heb het aantal vierkantjes nog niet geteld, maar de deken weegt nu zo'n 750 gram en is breed genoeg voor de bank en lang genoeg voor de kussens. Een paar vierkantjes hier en daar blijken toch snel op te schieten. We're back from 2 glorious weeks in Drenthe. The weather was great, there was lots to do and we got some relaxing done as well! It was great to come back home though, and how we appreciate our own bed, bathroom, dishwasher and washing machine... And of course, the allotment greeted us with great spoils, which meant our bike-car was filled to the brim with apples (which I should have picked before we left), courgettes, the last of the broad beans, peas, pak-choi and the first blackberries. There's plenty of work for us the coming week, such as weed, weed, weed... We zijn weer terug van twee heerlijke weken in Drenthe. Het weer was geweldig, er was veel te doen en we hebben ook wat gerelaxed! Maar wat is het dan weer fijn thuiskomen, naar ons eigen bed, de ruime badkamer, de vaatwasser en wasmachine...
