Pink knitting challenge

For some strange reason, I've decided that I'm going to knit less pink this year. If you look through my projects over the last year or two, the colour pink is just slightly over-represented, and that needs to change! I'm noticing a shift towards greans and blues, especially petrol, as this is a colour which seems to suit me very well, so that's good.
But on the needles at the moment are:
- Saskia, in pink
- Lapwing, in pink
- Sokkenpad, in pink
- Scarf and hat from Garnstudio, in pink.

That's a lot of pink!

Hmmm.... I decided to undo this wrong by finishing off this last project. It's a gift for Elayah, who's turning two today (a big hoera!!!!). I could not decide on what to buy her as a gift, and as the wintry weather is here to stay for a little while longer, I decided to knit her as nice hat and scarf. Unfortunately, because of my quite last-minute decision, I did not have time to knit mittens, but I might do that later this week and then send them off to her by post. Package is wrapped, Sam's nearly ready to go and is already looking forward to eating my cake...

There is a bit of a problem with the list above though... My Sokkenpad. Gone. Nowhere to be found. I think I might have left it in the café last Wednesday. I thought I had put it in my bag, but I suspect I left it on the sofa. The search here continues, but I have sent off an e-mail, just in case...

NEWS FLASH: Found them! They were, of course, in my laptop bag, which I took to the hospital on Thursday...

De roze uitdaging

Om de een of andere vreemde reden heb ik besloten dat ik dit jaar minder roze ga breien. Als je mijn projecten van de afgelopen jaren bekijkt, zie je dat roze toch een beetje de dominante kleur is. En dat moet veranderen! Ik merk al een verschuiving richting meer groen- en blauwtinten, vooral petrol, omdat ik die kleur erg goed bij me vind passen. En dat is prima.

Maar op dit moment heb ik op de naalden staan:
- Saskia, in roze
- Lapwing, in roze
- Sokkenpad, in roze
- Sjaal en muts van Garnstudio, in roze.

Dat is veel roze!

Hmmm.... Ik heb besloten dit recht te trekken door het laatste project maar snel af te maken. Het is een cadeautje voor Elaya, die vandaag twee wordt (hoera!!!!). Ik wist niet wat ik voor haar zou kopen, en omdat het winterse  weer nog wel even aanhoudt, besloot ik voor haar een lekkere warme muts en sjaal te breien. Helaas had ik door deze last-minute beslissing geen tijd voor de bijbehorende wanten, maar die maak ik misschien later in de week nog, en dan stuur ik ze op. Het cadeautje is al ingepakt, Sam staat in de startblokken en heeft al zin in mijn stukje taart...

Ik heb echter één probleem. Mijn  Sokkenpad. Weg. Foetsie. Ik denk dat ik hem afgelopen woensdag in het café heb laten liggen. Ik dacht dat ik hem in mijn tas had gestopt, maar misschien is hij op de bank blijven liggen. De zoektocht hier gaat door, maar ik heb ze ook maar even een mailtje gestuurd, voor het geval dat...

NEWS FLASH: Gevonden! Ze zaten, natuurlijk, in mijn laptoptas, die ik had meegenomen naar het ziekenhuis donderdag...
